Update 5-13-05

This time it's a go no matter how many 2 or 20, it's showtime!! I'm going all out this last week to get a good group that's interested in where we could take networking.  There's so much to talk about, even if there's only a few it's a foundation to grow from.  We'll meet again and continue the dialog.

I ended up postponing the meeting.  It would down to only a couple of people and for our first meeting I really want to have a good showing to orient everyone and give everyone a chance to meet each other.  I know there were many more that wanted to go, so we will try again.

 

Potentially the new date will likely be the first or second week of May.  Probably a wednesday.  Stay tuned I'll keep you posted.

If I have not personally invited you yet I apologize.  But if you're interested in attending please call or write right away.  There is limited attendance because of space.  It will be a small group.  I'm expecting maybe 7 to 12 people... or more.

 

Have a social, meet, greet and chill session: meet each other and networking among those in attendance.
We will discuss networking in general, and we can all contribute to the overall success and health of our race.

Find out where everyones level of interest and commitment is.        
We will take steps toward implementing the fundamentals of networking for success in the black community, as individuals, (our role)

 

I'd like to ask everyone in attendance ahead of time to give some serious thought to the 4 founding principles of The WB-NWA:

Mainly number 1 and 2.   Please think about what your needs are and what you have to give or share.  I may have the survey forms done by then or I may just provide the website address to do it online, pbrobably both.  I'd like to do some mixing and matching of the needs and Value's at the meeting.  Please write them down just in case I don't get the forms done in time.

 

I am at the initial stages of the WB-NWA.  And to accomplish anything you need a lot of help.  There is just not enough time in the day.  This can help so many people, but I need so much help in getting it off the ground.  It's called delegation, something I need to get much better at.  The best way in my mind to do that is to share not just responsibility and work but share reward and recognition both financial and otherwise, even ownership I view this project as ours not mine.  And I need much help developing and establishing it. 

 

Please give some thought to what level of interest you have:

The beauty of the whole thing for everyone is that we could all do this in one way or another.  We will all get involved in whatever way we can.  Whatever time.  Whatever money or not.  Whatever skillz or xperience.  Whatever that you're able YOU can get invovled.  And we will all be better for it.
